要旨：
多くの中国歴代王朝の正史には、五行志と呼ばれる、王朝に起こった怪異を記録する部門がある。本来、王朝に対する譴責の表象としての怪異を記録するのが五行志である。しかし、『晋書』五行志には西晋・東晋の怪異のみならず、同時代に存在した五胡十六国諸国の怪異も収録されている。これには一体如何なる背景があるのか。本稿は、五胡諸国の怪異記録を手がかりに、五行志に西晋・東晋以外の諸国の怪異が記録されるプロセスと、その歴史的意義について検討する。その意義の中でも重要なの
は、実効支配領域外にある五胡諸国の怪異を記録することが、却って晋王朝の正統性を示す事に繋がるという点にあった。
Abstract：
In the official histories of Chinese dynasties, there is usually a section called “Wu Xing Zhi” that records the strange things that happened to the dynasties. Originally, the Wu Xingzhi were intended to record the monstrous events as a reprimand to the dynasties. However, the Wu Xingzhi in the “Book of the Jin” contains not only the anomalies of the Western and Eastern Jin, but also those of the the Sixteen States, which existed in the same period. What is the background behind this? This paper examines the process of the recording of the apparitions of countries other than the Western and Eastern Jin in the Wu Xingzhi and their historical significance, using the records of the apparitions of the Sixteen States as a starting point. The most important of these significance is that the recording of the the Sixteen States’ strange happenings outside of the effective control of the Jin dynasty would in fact lead to the legitimization of the Jin dynasty.
