水运仪象台是宋代苏颂主持建造的大型水力天文机械,是中国古代科学技术达到高峰时期的一个代表作, 在中国科技史上具有十分重要的地位。本文通过对宋元时期历史文献的研究,对水运仪象台的结构和工作原理进行了介绍,对其创制和损毁过程进行了考证。

Abstract:
The Astronomical Clock Tower was a great astronomical machine built by Su Song in Song Dynasty. It was a representative work of the peak period of ancient Chinese science and technology, and had a significant impact in the history of Chinese science and technology. Based on historical literature records from the Song and Yuan dynasties, this paper summarizes the structure and working principle of the Astronomical Clock Tower, and conducts research on its creation and destruction process.
